ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, Kerala has been assessed and accredited in accordance with the standard ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) for its Spices and Organic Manure testing laboratories with effect from 14.11.2024. This recognition under ISO/IEC 17025: 2017 is a stepping-stone for quality testing of Spices and Organic Manures. With this accreditation, ICAR-IISR is positioned to support the Spice Processing Industry to provide the essential testing services to adhere to regulatory requirements and enhancing consumer confidence in spices available in the market. Following this milestone, there are plans to pursue NABL accreditation for additional parameters/scope for holistic coverage of regulatory requirements of spices samples.
