Honorary Research Fellow

ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode invites passionate and aspiring candidates to join the Honorary Fellow Program for valuable laboratory and field exposure under the mentorship of experienced scientists.

Introduction & Scope

The Honorary Fellow Program at ICAR-IISR is designed to provide fresh graduates and postgraduate students with practical laboratory and field exposure. The initiative focuses on enhancing professional skills, research understanding, and mentor-guided learning experiences in a scientific environment.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should possess a minimum Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Applicants must demonstrate genuine interest in scientific research and learning.

Application Process

Interested individuals may directly contact Scientists of ICAR-IISR. Upon acceptance, the concerned Scientist may inform the HRD section through proper channel and obtain approval from the competent authority.

The application should include:

  • Proof of Bachelor’s Degree
  • Letter of intent expressing commitment to ICAR-IISR policies and guidelines

The minimum duration of the Honorary Research Programme is 6 months.

This is an unpaid position and fellows will not receive any financial compensation. Candidates must submit an undertaking to the Mentor before joining the programme.

Participants are required to make their own arrangements for accommodation and food.

The Mentor reserves the right to terminate the program at any time and inform the HRD accordingly.
