Orientation Programme on ICAR SHITIJ 2.0 and Startup Quiz Competition
The Agri Business Incubator (ABI), ICAR – Indian Institute of Spices Research organised an orientation programme on ICAR SHITIJ 2.0, followed by a Startup Quiz Competition on July 20, 2026.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Sajesh V K, Senior Scientist & Co-PI (ABI), followed by an informative orientation that introduced students to the opportunities available under ICAR SHITIJ 2.0, encouraging them to explore innovation, entrepreneurship and startup incubation.
A Startup Quiz Competition was conducted by Dr. Anees K, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IISR, to assess participants' understanding of startups, innovation and entrepreneurship. Student teams participated with enthusiasm, making the competition both informative and engaging. Prizes were distributed to the winning teams by Dr. Anees K.
The programme witnessed the participation of 45 students. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Maneesha S R, Senior Scientist and Co-Principal Investigator (ABI), who thanked the participants for their active involvement and encouraged them to continue exploring entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture.
