Kisan Diwas 2025 was celebrated at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research Experimental Farm, Peruvannamuzhi, with the participation of farmers. On the occasion, an interaction session was held highlighting best practices for maintaining cleanliness in agricultural settings. The program also emphasized the role of farmers in promoting Swachhta initiatives, underscoring clean farming as a key component of sustainable agriculture.
Farmers' Day was organized at the ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR) Regional Station, Appangala, in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture, Madikeri, Government of Karnataka. The programme witnessed the participation of 60 farmers.
The event was inaugurated by Sister Dhanya, Brahmakumari Math, Madikeri. Dr. Rajanna G. A. and Dr. Honnappa Asangi, Scientists, led the technical sessions on spice cultivation, while Mrs. Neeraja, District Resource Person, PMFME, Madikeri, handled the session on coffee cultivation. Mr. Praveen M., Assistant Director of Agriculture, Madikeri, was also present during the programme.
Farmers were encouraged to adopt integrated farming systems and organic farming practices in spice cultivation for sustainable and resilient agriculture.
