An orientation session and boot camp on the SHITIJ–2026 Startup Incubation Programme, an initiative under the National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF), ICAR, was successfully organized by the Agri Business Incubator (ABI), ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode at AWH Engineering College, Calicut. The event was conducted in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC).

The programme was coordinated by IEDC Nodal Officer Ms. Jasmine P and Student Lead Mr. Abhiraj. It aimed to promote agri-based entrepreneurship among students, with a focus on Plant Health and Precision Agriculture.

The session began with a welcome address by Placement Officer Mr. Murali Krishnan K. Technical sessions were led by Dr. Maneesha S R and Dr. Shameena Beegum, Senior Scientists, ICAR-IISR, who detailed the objectives, eligibility, application process, and benefits of the SHITIJ programme.

Students actively participated in interactive discussions and gained valuable insights into innovation-driven startup opportunities in agriculture and allied sectors. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by IEDC Volunteer Ms. Mariyam.

An orientation and boot camp session on the SHITIJ–2026 Startup Incubation Programme was successfully organized by the Agri Business Incubator (ABI), ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, on 14 January 2026, in collaboration with the Institution's Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) of KMCT College of Engineering, Kallanthode, Kozhikode.

The session aimed to inspire students to explore agri-based entrepreneurship, with special emphasis on emerging domains such as Plant Health and Precision Agriculture.

Insightful technical sessions were delivered by Dr. Maneesha S R, Senior Scientist, and Mr. Abdul Razak, Business Manager, ABI, ICAR–IISR. The speakers elaborated on the vision, benefits, eligibility criteria, and application process of the SHITIJ–2026 programme.

An online orientation session on the SHITIJ–2026 Startup Incubation Programme, an initiative under the National Agricultural Innovation Fund (NAIF), ICAR, was successfully organized by the Agri Business Incubator (ABI), ICAR–Indian Institute of Spices Research at M. Dasan Institute of Technology, Ulliyeri, Kozhikode on 14 January 2026.

The programme witnessed the participation of 65 students and aimed to create awareness on agri-based startup opportunities, with special focus on innovation, plant health, and precision agriculture.

The technical sessions were delivered by Dr. Sajesh V K and Dr. Shameena Beegum P P, Senior Scientists, ICAR–IISR. The speakers explained the objectives, eligibility criteria, application process, and benefits of the SHITIJ–2026 programme, while motivating students to pursue entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors.
