Eligibility

Students registered for Ph.D. in any of the above Agricultural Universities and wishing to carry out research work at ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode may apply through the concerned University. HRD will facilitate allocation of major guide/advisor based on availability of vacancy.

Fee Structure

There is no Ph.D. fee for students registered under the above Agricultural Universities. However, students with fellowships awarded through competitive national examinations (ICAR/CSIR/UGC etc.) may transfer the contingency grant to ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode.

General Terms & Conditions

Candidates may approach the HRD Cell, ICAR-IISR with relevant documents.
Selection will be conducted twice a year (April & September).
Candidates must abide by institute rules and regulations.
Research findings are institute property and require Director’s permission before publication.
Hard & soft copies of thesis must be submitted.
Boarding and lodging arrangements are the responsibility of the candidate.
The Director’s decision shall be final and binding.

II. OUTSIDE NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SYSTEM

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a valid national-level fellowship (CSIR/UGC/DBT etc.). HRD will facilitate allocation of guide/co-guide based on vacancy.

Fee Structure

Bench fee: Rs.15,000 + 18% GST per semester for three years. Continuation fee after three years: Rs.5,000 + 18% GST per year.

Candidates must abide by institute rules.
Research findings are institute property.
Hard & soft copies of thesis must be submitted.
Boarding and lodging are the responsibility of the candidate.
Fees once paid are non-refundable.
Director’s decision shall be final.
