7th Dr. Y.R. Sarma Menmorial Lecture; 9th June 2023

The 7^th Dr. Y.R. Sarma Menmorial Lecture was organized on 9th June 2023 in hybrid mode. The programme started at 11.00 AM with the ICAR song followed by a video presentation on the life of Late Dr. Y.R. Sarma. Dr. A.I. Bhat, Head Division of Crop Protection, ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode, and Secretary, Dr. Y.R. Sarma Memorial Trust welcomed the chief guest and audience. Dr. R. Dinesh, Director, ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode delivered the presidential address. Dr. Shaji Philip, Principal Scientist & Officer in Charge, Plant Pathology Division, RRI, Kottayam, Mr. E. Radhakrishnan, Bacto Agroculture Care Pvt. Ltd., Nilgiris, Dr. T. K. Jacob, Former Principal Scientist, ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode, and Mr. Ahamed Kutty, Member, Dr. Y.R. Sarma Memorial Trust offered felicitations. Dr. Bir Pal Singh, Former Director, ICAR-Central Potato Research Institute, Shimla delivered the lecture titled “Managing impact of late blight disease on potato production in India”. About 70 delegates, comprising scientists, research scholars, former colleagues, and postgraduate students participated in the event and interacted with the speaker. Ms. Aruna Srinivas, Vice President, Dr. Y.R. Sarma Memorial Trust gave the vote of thanks. The programme came to an end by 1.00 PM.
