Second schedule of one day capacity building programme for women entrepreneurs was organized at ICAR-IISR on 5.12.2023 as part of Pradhhan Mantri Formalization of Micro Food Enterprises (PMFME) scheme funded by Ministry of Food Processing Industries, GoI. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. C K Thankamani, Principal Scientist and Head i/c, Division of Crop Production and Post-harvest Technology. Twenty-six women entrepreneurs from various blocks of Kozhikode district participated in the programme. Dr. E Jayashree, Principal Scientist, ICAR – IISR and Dr. K P Sudheer, Professor, KAU delivered technical sessions during the training programme. Technical sessions on processing, value addition and quality management in spices were covered in the skill development programme. Hands on training was imparted to the women entrepreneurs on value added products of ginger. The programme was coordinated in collaboration with the agri-business incubator unit of Kerala Agricultural University.
