The Soil, Plant Health and Manure Testing Facility is a state-of-the-art laboratory facility at ICAR-IISR dedicated to precise analysis of soil, plant samples, water, and all types of organic manures and soil amendments. Equipped with advanced instruments including Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, CHNS Analyzer, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer and Kjeldahl digestion units and other instruments, it offers complete profiling of macro- and micronutrients, heavy metals, pH, EC, organic carbon, microbial load in soil, water, manures, and quality of soil amendments. The facility supports farmers, agripreneurs, and research institutions with accurate diagnostic services and science-based recommendations for balanced fertilization and soil health management. It supports the research related to crop production aspects, promote sustainable agriculture, facilitate organic fertiliser licencing, and prevention of nutrient-related disorders in crops. Test reports with interpretive guidance are provided within 10 working days. The laboratory is also accredited by NABL for testing of organic manures.
